Pregnancy Yoga classes are a great opportunity to take some time in the week to stop and really relax and focus on yourself and your growing baby. Busy scheduleS often mean that we don't put our feet up or even slow down because we are pregnant.
Joining the Pregnancy Yoga class allows you this time to connect with your baby through breathing practices and relaxation. The Yoga asanas taught help you to stretch, remain supple and find extra room for your growing body / baby.
The opportunity to be with other mums-to-be is invaluable because you can build friendships and share mutual experiences and swap advice which all help to enrich your unique journey of pregnancy.
My aim is to provide a space for pregnant women to come together and learn to relax and breath. To help them become empowered and knowledgeable about their birth and think and prepare for this extraordinary day when you will be meeting your baby.

Thank you so much for all the advice and help given in the yoga classes, I found I was much calmer and more in control than I could ever have expected during labour. I was able to be mobile during the first stage and then the breathing techniques really helped during contractions. My husband was amazed at how focused I was. Not only did your classes teach me yoga, but the speakers you brought in were fantastic, and I formed friendships with other local Mums-to-be, which is invaluable. I would recommend your classes to everyone, thank you again!" Clare
I had been doing scoops & using the golden thread with every contraction and only decided it was a good idea to get in the car when I was having the urge to push! We arrived at the hospital at 2.45am & I was holding him at 3.11am! I can not recommend your classes enough! I just wish I'd found you earlier. I honestly believe the techniques I learnt in the 3 classes I did manage to attend got me through Oscar's birth without any pain relief & made it the amazing experience that it was. Emma
Just to say a BIG thank you to you Karina and your Yoga classes, your excellent knowledge, your regular tips and suggestions for any pregnancy related niggles. Your classes helped me to feel positive and active throughout my pregnancy, to cope with these known little niggles and to prepare myself for labour. Although the birth of my little son did not go to my favored plan, I used the golden thread breath purely during the first stages of labour, kept an open mind and stayed very focused throughout my difficult labour - which the midwife and consultant commented on! Your individual and caring approach is a real treasure for every pregnant woman taking part in your classes! Maya
I can't tell you how useful the yoga was in getting through it both at home and in hospital breathing, visualization, robozo, etc thank you so much. Am amazed that with just tens machine, breathing etc and gas and air at end, I managed it. Pheobe
Just wanted to say thank you so much, the breathing techniques really helped me, my husband said I was really brave and it was definitely down to the golden thread breath! It was an amazing experience and I also wanted to thank you for helping me to remain positive! Mia
Baby sister arrived this morning. 2 paracetamol and some serious visualizations, thanks to your books and your teaching. Lots of ball work, water bath and serious camel scooping- worked marvels! Retreated into my golden egg and thread breath. Thank you Karina you are a legend x. Jennifer
What an absolutely amazing experience! Yes, it was long, tiring and intense (my contractions were 3 minutes apart on average from the start) and it hurt like hell at times but I managed to completely hold it together with my breathing - the yoga DEFINITELY works!! My husband is really impressed and thinks our lovely chilled out baby is down to her birth experience and the yoga and breathing techniques that we practiced so much. Even the midwife said it was one of the nicest births she has ever delivered, so I couldn't be more happy. Jasmine
When my daughter was born, I felt really lucky to have had such a good birth experience but I know that although I was lucky not to have had complications, the reason everything went so well was because I felt calm and in control throughout. The calmness was mostly due to the fact I felt prepared and confident about asking for what I wanted (I gave birth in the water with no pain relief) but also aware of what to expect and of possible complications. Karina was instrumental in helping me achieve this confidence. The pregnancy classes helped me prepare both physically and mentally for birth and Karina always went out of her way to support us all individually, adapting exercises if needed, suggesting things to do at home and researching particular things we asked about. I really enjoyed the classes and appreciated how everyone shared their experiences and supported each other. Thank you so much Karina. Crystal
I started Mother & Baby yoga with Karina when my daughter was 11 weeks old. I also have a son who was only 18 months old & we had just moved from Sydney to Macclesfield. I enjoyed the class enormously & it definitely helped my body recuperate, it left me with a great sense of balance emotionally & physically. The class also gave me the chance to spend some time really connecting with my baby without the chaos of family life around & in a very supportive environment, it was a true oasis. I’ll always remember with great fondness, lying on the floor with legs up against the wall breastfeeding my daughter & discussing the highs & lows with the women next to me! The class was so friendly & I ended up with a lovely group of friends who have been instrumental in helping us settle into our new life here. Karina has a very strong & nurturing presence & this comes through in the yoga – I always floated home after the class feeling nurtured, peaceful & blessed out. Saffron
I did the Pregnancy class and enjoyed it so carried on with the post-natal class. Good exercise for myself whilst baby enjoys it too. Sara
I attended the classes to meet people and share experiences but mainly to help return normality back to my body after pregnancy. Zoe
A good activity for parent and baby- exercise, baby is actively included and check in with other mums is helpful. Gita
Great for getting back into fitness and fun for baby, enjoyed sharing experiences with other mums. Fiona
Karina has a very special approach which marks her style out from other classes I've attended. Perhaps it's her ability to empathize and relate yoga to your needs. I attended both the ante natal and post natal classes, and found that each offered valuable tools for coping with the life changes experienced during those special times. I'm now attending the women's class and it provides a relaxing space to stretch, clear the head and still the mind in an otherwise busy week. What a treat! Holly
During my first pregnancy I really struggled with SPD to the point where I could barely walk towards the end of the term, so I was expecting SPD when I fell pregnant with my second child. This time it was worse and by week 20 the pain was overwhelming. I remember crying almost every day during our vacation in South Africa. Upon our return I heard about Karina Randall and started with weekly one-to-one pregnancy yoga sessions at my house. Having practiced yoga prior to pregnancy I knew of the health benefits and was interested to see how this could benefit me and my baby. Karina's wealth of knowledge around yoga, especially pregnancy yoga enabled her to focus each practice on managing and improving my SPD. Her enthusiasm to bring new exercises on a weekly basis astounded me. She was well researched and clearly has a passion for pregnancy yoga. I also attended a weekly group pregnancy yoga class where Karina altered the class to support my SPD, similarly those around me with other ailments or complaints. Within less than four weeks I saw and felt the benefits. I was able to move more freely and the last months of my term were far less painful, in fact I was walking daily even when I was nearly three weeks overdue. Not only did Karina improve my SPD, but she also enabled me to naturally deliver my beautiful daughter weighing 10lbs3oz after a previous C-section. None of this would have been possible without Karina's knowledge around pregnancy, yoga, breathing, Ayurveda and her support. Thank you Karina!!! Stiana
During my second pregnancy, I was not only pregnant with twins but also had PGP. From about 13 weeks into my pregnancy, before the weight of my daughters started pressing onto my pelvis, I discovered that I had PGP. I did some research into this condition and wasn't particularly pleased with what I found out! I was given a belt by a physiotherapist and told to come back if I needed crutches, but wasn't really offered any other support. One of my friends told me about Karina's class and I thought that it might help. I was so pleased, it really did help to go to one of Karina's classes, it helped me to relax and it reduced the pain of the PGP, enabling me to become more mobile. I was always better after a class and Karina did everything she could to ensure that the exercises were right for me, giving me an alternative when the rest of the class were doing something that I couldn't do. I did, eventually, end up with crutches, which I believe was a combination of the increased hormones and the increased weight of the twins on an already unstable pelvis, but I lasted out much longer than I would have done without the yoga. Thank you, Karina, for making my pregnancy more comfortable and enjoyable. Karen

Yoga is a life long journey of study and practice, the more you learn the less you realise you know. Which itself is humbling to discover. Being able to pass on my experience of Yoga has been a real gift. I continue to learn from teachers, students and indeed my own children on how to follow the path of Yoga. I started my Yoga journey in 2000 when I joined a Bikram yoga class to help me with a dodgy knee, my knee became stronger and I was hooked, regularly attending classes 3 times a week after work.
As time passed I started to inquire further into what Yoga was really about and decided to take a trip to India. Where I stayed at a Sivananda Ashram and experience their Yoga vacation and discovered a whole new world of Yoga philosophy, Karma yoga, meditation, Pranayama and Satsang. Over the next few years I made several trips to India visiting various yoga teachers and trying out different styles of Yoga. Studying in the South in Arambol with Sharat Arora at the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre taking regular classes and completing an Intensive course. In the North of India I studyed with the Rajiv Chanchani at the Yog-ganga centre for Yoga studies in Dehradun and also various other courses in Mysore and Varanasi.
In 2005 I decided to further my interest in Yoga by traveling to Albuquerque, New Mexico , USA to study Ayurveda at the Ayurveda institue to learn about the principles and practices of a discipline which is over 5000 years old and has healed millions of people world wide. At the institute I complete the Ayurveda Practitioners first year course 1240 hours study, with Ayurvedic Physician Dr Vasant Lad. Also completed the Yoga Alliance 200hrs Yoga teacher trainer certificate. Taking a year to really live and breath Ayurveda and Yoga was an incredible experience, and applying the Ayurveda principles to the practice of Yoga changed the way I practice and helped me to feel strong, healthy and balanced. I also completed training in Ayuryoga level 1 and Ayuryoga level 2 with Chitra Glauque and Michele Schulz at the institute. This training really inspires and influences my Hatha yoga for women classes.
After returning to the UK in 2006, I began to teach in London and also to run a free class for homeless people at a London drop in centre. As well as teaching and practicing I always have a desire to learn more and took the Yoga Therapy Foundation course at the Yoga therapy centre, London. I also attended Yoga holidays with Skyros Holistic Holidays in Greece. In most recent years the experience of pregnancy led me to attend classes in London with Francoise Freedman. I felt so nurtured and relaxed by her teaching that I looked into becoming a Birthlight yoga teacher. During my second pregnancy in 2008 I studied with Birthlight and qualified as a Perinatal yoga teacher. Being able to follow the Birthlight mission of enabling women to enjoy their pregnancy, birth and baby has been a great inspiration to me and I hope has helped numerous women. I continued to develop my Perinatal teaching by undertaking a further Postnatal studies programme of Baby Yoga with Sitaram, I attended the Postnatal diploma course at the Burren Yoga centre in Ireland in October 2009. I attend yearly CPD (continuing practice days) for my Hatha yoga, Pregnancy and Postnatal studies...
More than 580 women have attended my Pregancy yoga classes and I am blessed and delighted to share the Birthlight and Sitaram training with them.
I continue to strive to be the best I can be, to inspire, to share my knowledge of Yoga and to learn and to continue with this work in progress.

Here is the beautiful ancient Sanskrit GAYATRI MANTRA that inspires wisdom.
This is a very beautiful rendition of the Maha Gayatri mantra. Hatha yoga class
It is a mantra of physical, emotional and mental healing, purifying the subtle karmas, protection from the onslaught of obstacles, and of spiritual awakening or self realization.
